There are so many ways that you can become involved with our church and community. From local events, to Food Pantry donations or clothing drives, we can all work together to better our community and help our neighbors. Some of our upcoming events are listed below - see what interests you. There is something for everyone!
Barre Food Pantry Volunteer Opportunities
The Barre Food Pantry is looking for volunteers on an ongoing basis on the second Tuesday of each month to help prepare for distributions the following day. Volunteers would be needed from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to help set up the room, sort, date and pre-bag groceries. Volunteers are also welcome on Distribution Days, which are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 9:30 a.m. to noon to help staff tables, help clients "shop" the food pantry's offerings and to help carry groceries to cars. A second monthly Distribution Day takes place on the third Thursday of every month during the BCCUCC's monthly Community Friendship Suppers, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. If you are interested in lending a hand, please contact either Sonja at 978-355-6921 or Chuck at 978-355-6463.
Volunteers Welcome to Help Out at Community Friendship Suppers
We are always looking for volunteers to help out at our Community Friendship Suppers on the third Thursday of each month. These suppers are held downstairs in Fellowship Hall and are free and open to anyone who would like to attend. We are always looking for people who want to cook, prep, shop for or donate food items and help clean up, so if you are interested, please contact Janice H.
